Eye on the prize . . .One lucky punter will be driving home in a new Lamborghini Huracan.

It is the final chance to win Highlands’ sensational Sunday ride home.

The clock is counting down to Highlands Motorsport Park’s big 10th anniversary weekend and organisers are urging fans not to miss out on their opportunity to secure a new Zealand circuit racing icon.

It is the last chance for one lucky spectator buying a weekend pass in advance for the weekend to win the actual Lamborghini Huracan used for hot laps at Highland’s sister circuit Hampton Downs.

The car has been maintained to the highest possible standards for its important role at the North Waikato track but on Sunday the keys will be presented to one lucky winner — and fans have only two more days to pre-purchase a weekend pass and get their name in the draw for the big prize.

The draw closes at 4pm on Saturday.

To be in to win, fans will need to have their ticket scanned at Highlands by 9.15am on Sunday. The winner will be announced at 10.20am.

The circuit will mark its 10th birthday with the Highlands Six Hour endurance race for GT3, GT4 and open class cars.

Entries have come in from international and domestic teams with Kiwi legends Shane van Gisbergen and Hayden Paddon lining up to race in what will be the biggest and longest endurance event for GT type cars ever held at the circuit or in New Zealand.

Other supporting categories are Battery World Australian Racing Cars, NAPA Central Muscle Cars and the1 Hour Enduro.

A classic Le Mans-type start to the big Sunday race, a top 10 shootout for qualifying, grid walks and non-stop off-track entertainment throughout the weekend are all on the cards for fans and, for one, the drive home will be something very special.
