Mindfulness workshop inspires
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Alexandra Library in association with Flow Space Yoga and Wellness held a mindfulness workshop last Wednesday evening.
Flow Space owner Angela Connell talked the participants through simple exercises themed around reconnecting and the principles of awareness, compassion and choice.
Ms Connell explained that hers was a prevention-first practice, ‘‘living a way that is more unique, more awake, more alive’’.
Several of the participants said the simple exercises, which included concentrating on their five senses, allowed them to feel more relaxed, calmer and more centred.
