With indoor gatherings allowed under the Orange Covid-19 traffic light system, knitters and crocheters have been welcomed back to their weekly Yarn 2gether gatherings at the Alexandra Library each Thursday.
Co-ordinator Robyn McGregor said she founded the group at least five years ago at the suggestion of her daughter, a librarian at Riccarton Library in Christchurch, which hosts a similar group.
Wool is donated by the Kiwi Family Trust which buys wool with funding from the Otago Community Trust and sends it to groups such as theirs around the country.
The group welcomes newcomers and is happy to teach and offer advice.
Or you can ‘‘just come and chat’’.
