The Wanaka Lions Club enjoyed its fifth annual fundraising trip on January 8.

More than 100 vehicles, in two groups, made the four-hour trip across the Snow Farm, the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds, Department of Conservation reserve and Lowburn Station, spokesman Steve Richmond said.

Funds raised would be donated to Wanaka’s search and rescue organisation.

At the end of this year’s rally, participants enjoyed hot dogs and chips in the shade of the trees beside the Lowburn Hall.

The Shotover 4WD Club provided support for the rally.
