The cafe’s cabinet is the star of the show, boasting a huge array of baking and lunch options, including the ever-popular carrot cake, melting moments, rocky mallow slice and muesli slice. The cafe is also famous for its tasty fresh scones and muffins.
On the savoury side, a gluten-free chicken and kumara bake and salmon frittata are also popular, as well as one of the Sidewalk Cafe’s best-sellers, its famous sausage rolls.
A full brunch and lunch menu is also available. Try the cafe’s French toast, eggs Benedict and pancakes, as well as fresh bagels and wraps. Fresh salads and home-made soup are also on the menu, as well as another of the cafe’s most popular dishes, mushroom supreme, which features mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes, ciabatta and basil pesto.
Bruno Rossi Fairtrade coffee satisfies customers’ coffee cravings, and there is a full range of other hot drinks, such as hot chocolate, teas and Hakanoa organic ginger latte and spicy chai latte.
The Sidewalk Cafe also sells chia drinks, fruit smoothies and freshly squeezed juices.

The Sidewalk Cafe is open 7.30am to 4pm weekdays and 7.30am to 3pm at the weekend.
