Rugby players are starting to dust off the cobwebs in preparation for the 2019 season.

Central Otago players, and some from further afield, got an opportunity to do just that when the annual Clyde Earnscleugh Rugby Football Club’s 10s tournament returned last weekend.

Auckland’s Pakuranga team won against Cromwell, “tipping them” in the last half of the game, event organiser Cory Crosbie said.

A golden oldies match between north and south of the Clyde Dam also entertained the crowd.

That win went to Team South, which was awarded a specially designed trophy for its efforts.
