International curlers are in Naseby, aiming to qualify for the World Championships.
New Zealand skipper Scott Becker said having the World Curling qualifying event in his hometown of Naseby had been “absolutely superb”.
“The coverage that we’ve had for the sport is just fantastic. I think if you win out, and you are the top two teams from this then you’ve had to scramble and compete at the top level, and you’ve earned your spot at the Worlds.”
Eight men’s teams and eight women’s teams were competing for a spot at the World Championships, he said.
