Consistency was the key for a group of Omakau golfers after securing their second consecutive win at the annual Trilogy Golf Tournament.

The February 2-3 event was a successful weekend for many of the 260 players, including Omakau team members Di Wilson, Jan Nicolson, Bev Mee and Jo Moran.

The team won its category for the second consecutive year.

Moran was added to the mix this year as a stand-in for Lorraine Armstrong, who was nursing an injured wrist.

Moran missed out on playing in last year’s event because she also had an injured wrist.

As a result, Moran was out of the sport for about six months before helping the team secure its recent win.

Golfers from around the South Island joined in the tournament, which was played at Alexandra, Omakau and Dunstan golf courses.

Participants played 18 holes at Alexandra, nine at Omakau and nine at Dunstan, each with a different partner, switched at each course.

“It’s a fun weekend [with] a lot of camaraderie,” Wilson said.
