Cyclists are putting their stamina to the test in Central Otago, some most recently completing a 100km circuit between Chatto Creek and Oturehua.
About 35 cyclists from the Central Otago Wakatipu Cycle Club took part in the race, which started at Chatto Creek on Sunday.
Participants ventured to Omakau, Poolburn, Oturehua, Lauder and Becks, before returning through Omakau and Chatto Creek on Sunday afternoon.
Club secretary Andrea Lippers said conditions were perfect for the race.
The cycle club, which hosts the races in a different area each week, has its next event – a 90km handicap race – planned for Sunday, from Lake Hayes to Wanaka.
The final race of the series will be the Central Otago-Wakatipu Club Championships, due to take place on March 31 in Alexandra.
