May 29 is the day of the southern mayors’ “e-mob” campaign to help save the Stand Children’s Services Roxburgh children’s village.
Residents are being asked to email the Otago Daily Times‘ Garrick Tremain cartoon about the village’s closure to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
To get the cartoon and instructions about how to take part in the campaign, people can email firstname.lastname@example.org
People without computer access can visit any council-run library south of the Waitaki River to find out how their name can be added to the campaign.
The campaign will run only for one day, on May 29, and people are being asked to email the cartoon only once.
