The Wastebusters Summer Fair on Saturday was a great success, organisers said, despite periods of heavy rain.

Communications co-ordinator Alexia Johnston said people still flocked through the gates to make the most of what was on offer.

They enjoyed browsing through the release of summer clothes, water sports equipment, Alexandra Menz Shed creations and Christmas decorations.

Gearing up . . . Summer sports gear was at the top of the list for many people at the fair. Cullam Anderson (10), of Millers Flat, shopping with his dad Joseph, stocked up on everything he needed for the cricket field. PHOTO: SUPPLIED

The Lions Club of Alexandra also cranked up its barbecue, while people played games and took part in bokashi composting workshops.
