Tales of Ranfurly’s old hospital were shared against a background of the new hospital complex last weekend.

About 150 people attended the Maniototo Hospital staff reunion at Ranfurly’s Maniototo Park Stadium on Saturday and their schedule included a tour of the new hospital and rest-home.

Former staff members said it was a “beautiful” facility and reunion organisers said the entire Maniototo community was looking forward to the opening of the new hospital.

Maniototo Hospital Services Ltd chairman Stuart Paterson said the audit of the new completed facility had been done and it was hoped the 26-room, $7million hospital would be officially opened next month.
