The smell of international cuisine will tempt the tastebuds of people at Maniototo Area School this week.

Pupils will host their second international food day at the school on November 6, which the wider public is welcome to attend.

Tickets are available from the school for $5, which can be redeemed at each of the food stalls from 12.30pm.

A spokeswoman said the aim of the event was not to raise money, but to celebrate diversity within the school and wider community.

Food from a range of nationalities will be on offer, including curry, tacos, burgers, kebabs and Japanese ice cream.

The food day was hosted for the first time last year as the result of a pupil survey.
