Long service recognised

The Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade celebrated the work of long-serving station officer Brent Anderson at a ceremony at the Goldfields Primary School hall on Saturday.

Mr Anderson received a gold star medal for 25 years’ service.

He became a senior firefighter in 2002 and station officer in 2003.

Twenty other awards were presented, including gold bars to senior firefighters Gilbert Stace (49 years) and Ian Anderson (41 years).

An honorary life membership was awarded to ex-senior firefighter Paul Bisset in recognition of 16 years’ service.
