A fundraiser performance from members of Waiata Theatre Productions attracted a good turnout on Saturday evening at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra, organisers saying feedback had been excellent.
The semi-professional theatre company presented “A Night of Music” to raise funds for Central Stories, as part of a series of five such events, board Chairman Malcolm McPherson said.
Bruce Potter, who founded Waiata with Duncan Anderson in 2017, said about 60 people attended the show, which was a good number for the venue.
The evening went well, he said, with people enjoying the snacks and availability of drinks as well as the musical offerings.
Waiata will hold a second concert at the venue on January 22.
