Clyde businessman and property developer Mark Laing has been given a community business development award by the Alexandra and Clyde Districts Business Group.
He was presented with the framed certificate by Olivers restaurant and bar owner David Ritchie, also of Clyde, at a business group meeting earlier this month.
Mr Ritchie and his wife, Andrea, also received a similar award from the group at the same meeting, although it was for the previous year.
Group chairman Barry Hambleton said the awards were given as recognition and to thank the people who had made contributions to the community.
Mr Laing has developed the historic precinct in Clyde, which includes shops and housing, and has carried out other development work in the area.
Mr and Mrs Ritchie revamped the Olivers buildings during the past seven years, which includes accommodation, a restaurant, a brewery and a cafe.
