The Wanaka Concert Society is delighted the local “What’s Not On List” does not include Rebirth of Cool with the Ralph Miller Nonet or the Chamber Music New Zealand’s concert “Tokowha”.

Both concerts have been postponed, not cancelled, because of Covid.

Miller’s new date is Sunday, September 4, and the Chamber Music NZ concert will be in November on a date yet to be decided.

There is further good news for concert goers anyone who bought a ticket for the Wanaka Concert Society’s postponed concerts could use them for any of the society’s concerts this year, society president Kate Lovell said.

However, fans of live piano will miss out on pianist Francesca Khalifa’s concert, programmed for May 6, which has been cancelled.

Other concerts going ahead (with audience limits of 100 people) are Yuka Eguchi and Kemp English (on July 16), Ensemble Go of Wellington (on August 10) and Duo Harmonics (on October 11).
