The best of Central Otago art can be found in one place this weekend as the third Art at The Packing Shed takes place.
The event is organised by the Central Otago Art Society and is held every second year, alternating with Art in the Garden.
Like its sister event, Art at the Packing Shed allows Central Otago residents and visitors to the area a chance to see local art and craft and hear local musicians.
Run collaboratively with The Packing Shed Gallery and Cafe, the venue has undergone a major makeover since it last hosted the event.
The established gardens remain while a new garden area has been developed behind the old sheds.
The buildings had all been refurbished and rebuilt making the venue perfect for the event.
Entry is free allowing family groups to enjoy a day out and meet and support artists and craft people. Running on Saturday and Sunday the event will include more than 20 art and craft stalls, about 40 to 50 exhibited works, plus unframed work displayed in the Packing Shed building.
Live entertainment from local music acts will be on offer on both days.
To comply with legal requirements, vaccine passports will need to be shown on entry.
