A greener future was glimpsed during a series of sustainable workshops with the theme of “living sustainably in Central Otago” which took place in Alexandra recently.
Organised by Adrienne Lamb, Heather Horswell and Nigel Murray of Hands On Events, the three workshops called “Easy Composting that Works”, “How to be a Wastebuster” and “Electric Vehicle and Home Solar Demo Day” were attended by about 100 people.
Mrs Horswell said attendees enjoyed listening to engaging and passionate speakers.
They had the chance to have a hands-on experience “whether it was mulching and adding layers to the compost heap, sorting recycling or going for a ride in a Tesla”.
“We have received some excellent feedback from people who have been inspired to start their own journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle,” she said.
The group planned to organise more events in the future.
A compost pile at the food forest would need turning in a months time, so the group encouraged people to stay in touch via the Handsoneventsnzfacebook page or phone 2170-2978.Best jordan SneakersAir Jordan 1
