Sport Otago’s annual Rainbow Run returned for another colourful day in Alexandra.
Around 230 people enjoyed the 5km run around Molyneux Park on Saturday.
Wearing white tee shirts, the runners braved five checkpoints where coloured power was thrown, bringing giggles and gasps from some of the competitors.
Sharing first place across the finish line were Ben Lake (15), Carl Waterman (15) and Wyatt Payne, all of Alexandra.
Sport Otago business development manager Michael Smith said the event raised around $1000 for Sporting Chance, a programme run by Sport Otago that provided financial assistance to children from disadvantaged circumstances to help them take part in sport.
