Talented violinist to play in Cromwell

New Zealand violinist Karla Norton will perform in Cromwell on Sunday, where she will present a programme it is hoped will lead to a master of music degree in performance violin from the University of Otago.
At present a well-qualified and performed musician, Norton has been a Wellington Youth orchestra concertmaster and for several seasons has played in the New Zealand Youth Orchestra.

Last year she was awarded a fellowship to be a member of the internationally recognised London-based Southbank Sinfonia.
At Sunday’s concert, taking place in the Cromwell Memorial Hall at 2.30 pm, she will be accompanied by pianist John Van Buskirk.
The performance is presented by the Cromwell and Districts Community Arts Council.
