Sticks ‘n Stones concert

A fundraising concert for bullying prevention charity Sticks ‘n Stones will showcase young talent from across the region.

Community facilitator Vanessa Breen said pupils from Mt Aspiring College, Cromwell College, Dunstan High School and Roxburgh Area School would be taking part, with about 15 acts including dance, singing, jazz and drama.

A concert was organised by Roxburgh Area School last year, and this year they wanted to expand to include pupils from all the schools involved in Sticks ‘n Stones, she said.

The concert was an opportunity “not only to share their talent but to have that opportunity to talk to each other about what they are doing in their own schools for Sticks ‘n Stones.”

Sticks ‘n Stones advocates would run the evening, along with “some awesome helpers”.

The variety concert will take place at Dunstan High School Hall on Friday September 6, from 7pm.
