Cromwell Community Santaland returned to the town last week, to the delight of children and adults alike. Reporter Alexia Johnston went along to find out what all the excitement was about.

Guest appearance . . . Santaland would not have been complete without a visit from the man himself, who took time to chat to youngsters, including Millie Scott (8), of Cromwell. 
Story time . . . Beau Moore (3), of Cromwell, enjoys being read to by Melanie Mills during one of the many Santaland activities last week.
In character . . . Olaf from the movie Frozen, played by Luke Casey (10), made a special appearance.
Festive treat . . . A gingerbread house caught the attention Mason Livingstone (4), of Clyde, who was allowed to go inside to look around.
Tea for two . . . Helen Smith (aka Mrs Claus), left, enjoys a tea party with Ella Mitchell (5), of Cromwell, during the town's popular Community Santaland event.
Making friends . . . Cousins Ruby Hunt (8, left), of Wanaka, and Hazel McHattie (3), of Cromwell, meet up with a friendly snowman during a visit to Santaland, which was hosted at the Presbyterian Church in Cromwell.
