Alexandra musician Denis Litchfield is keen to hear from musicians in Central Otago who might be interested in forming a club.
Mr Litchfield said he ran the idea past a few fellow musicians who were keen to get involved. He now hopes to see whether other musicians in the area are interested.
His plan is to get people to register their interest with him over coming weeks and then to set a meeting date where those interested can gather together and discuss what they would want to get out of a club. He hoped to hold the meeting before the end of the year once there was enough interest, he said.
“Maybe we just form a register of local musicians where people can connect if they are looking for, say, a bass player, a drummer or a singer to join a band. Or it could be about sharing details of gigs and events. People might want to pool resources or be looking for somewhere to practise, looking for others to jam with.”
Mr Litchfield said he was keen to hear from everyone, whether they were seasoned, aspiring or closet musicians.
“If you are keen to connect with other like-minded people who share a love of music whatever genre, get in touch.”
The club would help support local musicians and would provide a good point of contact for people new to the area, he said.
Anyone interested in the club is encouraged to either find and join the Central Otago Musicians Inclusive Club (Comic) community page on Facebook or contact Denis Litchfield on 027 420-6696 or email email@example.com.Adidas footwearadidas Yeezy 350
